Lauren Collister is a linguist who works as a professional writer, researcher, and educator. She received her PhD in linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh and spent twelve years there working in scholarly communications and publishing in the Pittsburgh University Library System. She’s currently employed at Invest in Open Infrastructure, an organization that is dedicated to improving resilience, funding, and resourcing for open technologies and systems supporting research and scholarship.
